Ana Ama's Story
In her senior year of high school, Karoline was told she had to take a standardized test in geometry even though she had never taken geometry. She started to question whether she belonged in college when it started to look like she might not even graduate high school.
José did not have the same advantages that most of his classmates had. As a result, he had to work (at least!) twice as hard. But that’s not all he did. He decided to become a tutor to help students in his neighborhood who had even fewer educational opportunities than he did.
Ana Ama started to question if she belonged in college after she submitted her college applications. She worried that she would not be accepted anywhere. Watch Ana’s story about how she managed to overcome her doubts and came to believe that she DOES belong in college!
